Currently working on
— Scryptoria — Software branding and product design, in progress.
— Orbick — Building out the case study for a recently completed AI product identity. Naming, logo, and a four-state icon system in strict black and white.
Currently thinking about
— How icon systems hold up when you strip them down. With Orbick, the constraint was four states (default, sleeping, error, success) and only black and white. The fewer pieces you give yourself, the more each one has to carry.
— A knitting project where the same stitch count is reading two different ways depending on which band it’s on. Same numbers, different result — there’s a lesson in there about how design rules behave once they leave the page.
— What “minimal” actually means in 2026, now that the word means almost nothing. Probably not what it meant in 2018.
